Default b18a help ;connecting rods'

finished assembly on block 'b18a' i went to spin it over and it was hard *** hell so it finally spun. after spinning motor a few times i notice that when i stop for a few i gets hard *** hell to spin. i lubed everything made sure every was to spec and now this. i know its somewhere in the con. rods cause i can spin the crank by hand when the rods are off so if anybody ever dealt with a problem like this let me know and any help would be grreat. thanks.

I don't think that's too abnormal. All of the engines I've dealt with do that too.

Tight bearings, crooked caps, tweaked crank or rods...

Make sure the rod caps are not mixed up.Make sure an oil rail on the bottom ring isn't bent and trapped between the piston and cylinder wall.Make sure the oil ring isn't overlapped.Pull out the piston assembly's and find out what the problem is before you start it.
