B18A block question
Hey everyone,
i have a bare B18A block that is in MINT condition by the looks of it
i want to build it up for a ls/vtec boost setup and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what i should get done to make sure the block is perfect

i also have a b18a and I thought it was in good condition before i started my build. come to find out i had numerous problems with deck warpage and other misc. i would recommend taking to your local machine shop to check the deck and see if it needs to be machined. chances are that if the block has never been overheated it should be within specs. also if you plan on ls vtec you should consider ARP main bolts for the bottom end. these b18a were not made to spin more than 6800 rpm and it will spin a bearing if you do not take this precaution. The only downfall when you do this your mains may need to be line honed to fit the crank again. a line hone at your local shop should be between $80-150 and i think I paid like $50 for the main bolts. just a suggestion
