whats the difference between the b18a and the b18b besides one being obd0 and the other being obd1?

b18b's were obd2

other than that not much of a difference

what about the usdm b18a1? is that obd0 and obd1 also?

no.
90-91 B18As are obd0.
92-93 B18As are obd1.
94-95 B18Bs are obd1.
96-01 B18Bs are obd2.

Yes, USDM B18A1s are depending on the year. I don't even know if there is such a thing as JDM B18As. B18As only came in 90-93 tegs, and as far as I know, the JDM 90-93 tegs had B16s in them.

the basemodel jdm tegs had B18A's in em just like ours
