Ok so im swapping a b17a1 out of a 92 teg into a 95 eg sedan what are the pros/cons of this motor and also anyone got any threads or links to boosted b17 thinking about boosting mine but not sure what do you guys think so far I have done full skunk 2 coilovers gold lca full tan interior swap swapped sunroof from grey to tan, dent free doors just needs paint and minor things

 

Good motor but a little weak off line
As far as turbo I wouldn't unless u put stronger internals
Remember that it is almost a antique engine so rebuild is coming eventually

 

Yea Ive juat started to do the rebuild tearing the motor down right now and going to go full forged internals dont mind spwnding money on good parts believe in get what you pay for but its gonna take me a little bit due to nor being able to dump tons of money in all at once was focusing on body and interior mostly as of now due to already having the full swap from a previous vehicle but now I'm getting into the motor and tranny aspect I haven't seen many people do b17 that's why I wanna do it

 

The biggest downside to a b17 is sourcing bottom end parts. I have one that I picked up with a spun rod bearing and bent rod. Haven't been able to find a stock rod anywhere. If you go forged, and want to sell the stock rods lethe me know......


When that motor is healty, they pack a sweet little punch.
