im picking up a b17 this weekend for FREE!!

i had a few questions.....

1. what header fits on this motor? will a b16 header fit?
2. what clutch and flywheel fit this motor? will a b16 fit?
3. will a b16 distributor fit onto the b17 head?
4. will a b16 intake manifold fit on the b17?

head ,intake,exhaust mani and dist will fit

im not sure about flywheel

 

everything will bolt right in

By reading your sig, I assume you're putting this B17 into an 89 civic, correct? and it sounds like you have an 89-91 B16 you'd like to swap these parts over to the B17, correct?

 

yes...sorry this motor will be going into an 89 civic si. currently i have a d16z6 in my car, but all the parts i am getting will be a friend that has alot of b16 parts laying around and selling for a real good price.

i dont know if any of you guys know....but yes i have not searched yet....how much are a set of billet hassport mounts and shiftlinkage go for? ef-b series brand new.

as far as a header for this motor....which companys is best/quality/tuned? 5zigen of jdm rsr header?

as long as your friends B16 parts are 89-91/OBD-0 spec, yes, you can use all the parts you listed on the B17 engine so that you can keep your 89 Si OBD-0 spec.

 

the b17 motor originally was an obd0 motor or obd1??
