Getting b16b head in two weeks along with type R pistons. What power you think I can get from this? Should I put the pistons on as well. Worried about high CP.

 

Overall i would way rather go with the CTR head. It will drop ur compression around 0.2 over the GSR head. If it is the complete head then you got some good cams and an overall better flowing head. The GSR will yield a higher compression tho. If you have a C/R over 12.0:1 run 92+ octane and retard ur ignition timing otherwise you should be fine.

 

Which Type-R pistons? USDM ITR, JDM ITR or CTR?

 

CTR pistons,came w/ the package. Thinking of sellin them.

According to http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/c.../compcalc.html B16B head and pistons combined with a B18C block will give you around 11.75:1 CR. Should be safe enough...

 

I might sell the pistons.
