Default b16a2 vs b18c1

I'm sure there is already plenty of information on this, I'm just not sure where to find it. I'm building up my 97 Civic HX for AutoX racing. I'm not trying to stay in a certain class, as I'm just doing this for fun. Does anyone know the weight difference between the b16a2 and the b18c1? Is the b18c1 worth the extra $1k? Does anyone have any resources that might help me make a decision?

they are both good engines but i'd go with the b18c because it's larger and has more stock power. the weight differance between the two is maybe 20-30lbs. this might give you some general info and insight: http://tech.hybridgarage.com/tech/5gtech/index.html
