I was wondering....is there any difference (other than the tranny) of the two. Also, will the block off the B16A1 work with the B16A2...thanks....

 

I believe the b16a1 (out of euro vti-R) had less aggressive cams and different c/r, rated at 150 hp. If you mean the b16a from the civic/crx SiR and teg XSi and RSi, those had a different c/r as well from the a2 and were rated at 160 hp. The b16a2 is rated at 170hp. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I remember.

if you have a car thats newer than 1992. do not buy the first gen b16. you will spend more than the second gen swap.
