B16a won't start......analysis inside, please help.
If I drive the car for a while and then shut it down and try to restart it the motor usually takes a few tries and sometimes needs to sit for a while before I am able to restart. Last night I overfilled the tank a little and this morning the car would not start. There was ignition at one point but at about 200rpm it slowly died.
What can I check? and whats are your thoughts?
- Thanks.

What kind of car is this in? Sounds like a main relay. It activates the fuel pump, which is why after you try to restart there will be ignition and it will slowly die. Generally happens at random after driving and trying to restart. Next time it happens, turn the key from off to ignition and listen for the fuel pump whine. If its not there, then you narrowed down your problem some.
If you drive an EH/EG, the Main Relay is right under the dash by the hood pop lever. It is a small, box bolted down with a wire harness plugged into one end. If you have a Helms and a DMM it suggests testing for continuity and what your results should.
I know I've had two go, both were around 150k and were cheap- like $30 or so to replace. Good luck.

Thanks, I checked for the pump whining and I did'nt hear it so I'll be checking the relay and if it is good then its most likely the pump right?
If you aren't hearing the fuel pump whine, from the symptoms I can guess its the Main Relay discussed earlier. If not and you think its the pump, just check that harness where it plugs into the pump for voltage. If its not there, then its probably the Relay if it is and pump isn't whining then its more than likely the pump.
