will i need to run an octane addative in my fuel, to keep the motors power potential up during daily use? or will 91 do ok?

depends on what your compression is going to be..and if you run the ctr ecu with it or not..

I think that yes, to have it's maximum potential, you need to run 97 octane, but it will still perform exceptional on 91 or 92 I believe.

not sure exactly what the compression will be, and i am running a skunk2 program.

 

Stock b16a with CTR pistons would give about 11.1 CR

 

10.8:1 and I ran 91 octane fine on that motor.

 

I took a B16A2 and decked the block and ended up wiyth around 11.1 to 11.2 and run 92 fine. I added race fuel and it pulled harder. I ran a octane booster of around 98 with no real effects.
