What can 1st gen B16a valve springs and retainers rev up to? I know that some B16a's had only single intake springs, how can I tell if its single or dual? If I was going to add Type R cams and keep the stock redline, would I be fine?
If you're keeping the stock redline, you should be fine, but to get the most benefit from the cams, you should probably do some tuning and bump the redline a bit. If you do that, you'd want ITR springs to go with your cams.
If you have single springs on the intake side, you'd replace all valve springs with ITR ones. If you have dual intake springs, you could move them to the exhaust side, and only replace the intake springs with ITR springs.

if you are going to use ITR cams, use type-r springs. you should also get the retainers
because some b16a retainers are rather weak and will break above 7500-8000rpm
