Default b16a rods

i plan on putting some ctr pistons in a b16a. do u think i need to get rods too or can i keep the stock rods. whats the hp limit on the stock rods?


just tryin to gain some knowledge.

CTR rods won't fit into a b16a. The b16b uses a taller block than the b16a. With the CTR rods, the pistons would poke out of the top of the block.

I think that the Ctr pistons can fit on the stock b16a rods, but you will have to machine the rods for everything to fit correctly.

If I remember correctly, you have to machine the wrist pins and possible shave the skirt a bit.
