Default B16A Limited Slip Diff

I was wondering what type of limited slip differential comes comes in the B16/Y1 package? (clutch, viscous, Torsen?)

It is not an open differential, LSD is clearly printed on the tranny of a Y1

Ah my mistake I read YS1 the first time I saw it. Need glasses I guess. The Y1 is from the early ITRs if I'm not mistaken. I'd guess it's basically the same helical LSD I have waiting to install in my GSR tranny which is from an EK9(Y/S80)

Incorrect. The Y1 is from 1st gen. B16A's. It was available w/ an optional clutch-type LSD. These are a bit harder to come across today.

indeed Y1 clutch type LSD or few even viscous types were found on some cars.
YS1 uses a torsen type LSD (same as b16a hydro trannies Y21 or S21)

Guess it depends, huh? I was expecting a clutch-type. Viscous you say? *ponder*
