Default b16a engine problem

i have an 89 civic si hatch with b16 a. while i was driving my car died on me. i tried starting it back up but all it does is crank. im getting spark and fuel. when it died it gave me no signs of anything going bad. i can hear the fuel pump when i turn the key. this is the first time ive had any problems since the swap. please send me some ideas if any. thanks

good chance your timing belt went. pull the valve cover and take a look. If all that checks out, double check the fuel system. How do you know you are getting fuel? The fuel pump may indeed be pumping, but your injectors might not be firing. try a shot of starter fluid into the throttle body.

check the wiring on all the injectors to the resistor, and the fuse relay, are you sure you are getting in-cylinder spark?

check the sensors that tell the ECU not to start the car, such as TPS, coolant, etc.

Too much confusion here..

If this were sensor or ecu related then spark and or fuel injector pulse would not exsist...

You have to start from the basics and determine in the proper order..

Do you have spark at the cylinders? (not at the coil)

Do you have fuel injector pulse? (not fuel pressure)

without determining the above anything else is just a guess...
