B16a Engine Noise Problem

B16a Engine Noise Problem
Alright HT,
Haven't got the time to take my car out to my mechanic to check why my motor is making this noise. I'll explain, the noise comes in when I get passed 5000 rpm and car feels very weak compared to when I had it a few months ago. Sound is kind of a fast high rattling noise kind of like the exhaust rattling, but from the head. Could it be my valves?
I ran a dumb 16.00 flat all day with this when I took it to the tracks. In this car, which is a DD, I have an 92 EG with a b16a block with a gsr head and tranny (gsr block spun a bearing so I replaced it with what I had laying around). Anyways all stock except the Edelbrock IM. I 'm thinking about getting rid of the car. I mean it's still good, but I do have a b20 vtec turbo project I'm trying to finish. Oh well.
Let me know what you guys think that noise is. Thanks in advance so I can be faster.

True that!!! I'm actually trying to find an EK Hatch to put it in, but I thinking about selling it to fund my 500+++ hp project.

Oh vtec does engage, but I lose top end power and when I rev past 5k it starts to buzz/rattle. I don't know about the LMA's, but will probably have that checked as well as the whole head.

sounds like it could be a broken V-sping with Vtec would still ingauge just wouldn't kick hard like it should, and giving u the rattle/ buzz u hear. good luck with ur prob bro.
