B16A to beat B20 V-tec
I got a stock B16A in my hatchback. My friend is having his Integra LS done. He will put B20 block with B16 head. I know he will out run me when he's done. What kind of modification should I do to prevent that. Anything beside turbo, supercharge or NOS. Thanks.
Good luck.. without some major mods you won't come close.
Start looking into things like:
AFC.
High lift cams and a worthy valvetrain if you want to make power at higher rpm's than him.
Different intake manifold and throttle body.
A nice header.
+ lots of other things...
And definetely something in that tranny to help with that launch.. like a 4.7 or 4.9 final drive and an LSD.
Really.. good luck.

depends how how built it is. use you R/S ratio, buy cams and valvesprings. I'd do rods and pistons too. rev the snot out of it. If you have the money, get it sleeved to like 84mm. It's gonna be hard to do it all motor, real hard. You'll have to have a better tranny than him, hopefully he'll just have the ls tranny. Basically, you just have to do more to the engine than he does to keep up. Being a better driver will be a must.
