Default b16 w/ gsr internals.., is it possible?

i just blew my first engine last week(ring landing) and i already have another b16 to go in.., my question is whether or not i can use a stock gsr crank and then aftermarket gsr rods, and pistons IN my old b16 block? i know you can do it with the b17 gsr internals but can it be done with b18c internals if i have certain machine work performed?

You could probably do it with really short rods, but they would definitely have to be custom. I am not sure where to go about finding this stuff, but that doesn't sound like a very cheap project. I don't see many GS-R cranks for sale and they are extremely expensive from the dealer.

Unless you could do it pretty cheap, you might wanna consider getting an ITR shortblock and then sell your B16A. ITR shortblocks can be had for about 2300 (brand new).

we looked into doing this for a friend. the block is too short, and would cost more than its worth to have custom built. we ended up going LS/VTEC and the car screams.
