Default b16 valve adjustment

My valves were noisy so i adjusted them to .006" in and .007 ex with a cold engine. Now it sounds like its running on 3 cyls. All the plugs and wires are good, and a compression test showed between 175-185 on all cyls before and after. I dont know if those are good comp numbers, they seem a little low. The valves are quiet now, and i readjusted them after it was running strange and it still does it. SUPPOSEDLY this engine has toda cams in it, but it always felt like stock cams to me. Any suggestions?
