Got offered a Good B16 for next to nothing off a friend.No gearbox. What i need to know is if i just have the engine+loom what else do i need,for example,i have an EK coupe SOHC non VTEC,D16Y7.Will the B16 just drop in straight and mate with my D16's gearbox,will i need new shafts,hubs? Will i need different engine mounts?
Any info much appreciated. Just said i'd post a thread here cos i dont have time to search with work.I could really do with the DOHC VTEC though. Thanks in advance.

 

ur gonna need motormounts , hasport has some good ones...a b16 hydro tranny... axles off an integra, b16 wiring harness and ECU and u'll be good

 

Ok as for getting the parts u will need its quite a few

1. 99-00 si motor mounts.....all of them or upgrade to hasport b series mounts in an ek
2. Some sort of b- series tranny......I would recommend b16 because of the way the 16 motor revs quickly.
3. Depending on the year ek u have a motor wiring harness....96-98 you can use an ex wiring harness and ecua nd vtec will hit fine u will just be on a diff map.....99-00 you will use an si wiring harness and ecu....if wanting to use a chipped computer you will need an jumper harness and an obd1 p28 or p72.....jumper hanness also depends on year of the car.....96-98 its obd2a and 99-00 its obd2b....
4. Axles are also needed and any b-series hydro axles will work.....

I believe that is everything and everyone please add if I am missing anything......
