b16 oil pan compatibility..

b16 oil pan compatibility..
i already did a search and could find nothing.. i was
wondering if a first gen b16 oil pan will work on a
second gen b16.. the reason i ask this is cause i am
getting ready to put a turbo on my car and i dont want
to tap the pan if i dont have to.. also we tried
it with my friends first gen b16 and a 99 si b16 and it
didnt work.. everything fit, but the oil light came on when
my buddy started his car.. thanks for your help..

cool, so they all have the same bolt pattern. So it it the shape of the pan that's different between all of them?
