Default b16 crankcase vent system help

ive seen the catch can setups that block off the block vetn system on the back of the block. my question is can you just block off the block and not run a catch can without hurting anything.

You could if you don't mind blowing out the front and rear main seals as having oil leaks.

What he getting at is the whole point is to vent positive crankcase pressure I.e. pcv. If the crankcase is not vented properly it will blow out oil seals and cause leaks.
