Default B16 cable tranny problems

my friend swapped a obd-o jdm b16 into his 90 ls and all of his gears were in the wrong places. i.e. first gear was reverse. Its like they were all backwards and cant figure out what the problem is. can anybody help?

im not sure what else u want to know? i just know that when the tranny is in the car the gears all seem backward. what we know as first gear is reverse and what we know as reverse is first gear, etc

Just put the shift **** on backwards.

I've never heard of this problem before you might want to try calling a Honda service dept. Or maybe try a local tranny shop and describe the problem. Does the tranny have the correct markings on it?

sounds to me like you bought a broke tranny... are you sure what you call a gear was a gear..... did the car move ... did you drive it in 1st gear/reverse.

I bet that tranny has a broken shaft inside of it and everything is just hangin around in there.....

Good luck
