I was wondering if the b16 cable tranny non-lsd (s1 specifically) final drive fits into a cable b18a1 tranny? Because the b18a1 tranny has shorter gear ratios but like a 4.26 FD instead of 4.40

I searched and couldn't find any info

you kinda have it backwards, the 92-93 ls tranny has the same gearing as the 94+ ls, the 90-91 ls tranny has a longer 1-3 gear a shorter 4-5 and a 4.4 fd.

 

its a def. fit b serie s is b series

 

you can put the 4.40 FD LS/GS/RS into a B16 4.266 tranny.

I'll be doing another this weekend.

 

I'm kinda confused, when looking up specs for 90-93 Integra RS/LS/GS cable trannys I have found some places claim 4.266 and some claim 4.40

BTW I have a 1991 GS with an A1 tranny, which none of the specs list "A1" as a tranny code either

thats what i need to do to my y1 b16 tranny, i dont like the the longer gears to much

 

there are 90-91, and 92-93 tranny specs

90-91 USDM = JDM B16.

Now this JDM Y21 LSD unit on the bench has proven to be quite a test

What all is needed to swap the final drives? Just the ring gear?

I am wanting to put a 4.266 FD in my B16 S1 cable trannsmission, but im not sure if I just need the ring gear, or the entire shaft as well.
