B-Series Radiator on D-Series Engine
I plan on swapping out my motor in the near future and my current radiator is leaking. Is it possible to use a B-Series radiator on my D-Series temporarily?
I'm assuming I would just have to use B-Series radiator hoses and cut one of them down due to it's longer length and use worm clamps to secure it.
How about the fan, would i be able to utilize my stock fan or use a different one?
Thanks ya'll!

If you can connect the hoses to it and mount the fan then it will work, how well it works is another question and it has nothing to do with whether it is a rad from a D or B series, it has to do with "area", [the amount of cooling surface] the rad has.
You could use a rad out of a Ford as long as you can fit it and connect to it. 94

i strongly agree with FCM. since its temporary you might wanna think about removing the thermostat just to make sure you dont have any overheating problems. and remember to bleed the cooling system of air when ur done installing it and filling it up. If i made an aluminum Civic Si radiator fit on my 96 corolla with the stock toyota hoses i dont see why that B series rad wouldnt fit on the D series
pick up a dual core civic radiator, no need for the full length teg radiator.
the thermostat will regulate the additional cooling capability.
the b and D series will be fine with the dual core.
if you're using the teg radiator because you have one and you're trying to save money, then yes it can be done but the mounting has to be fabricated and the civic mount has to be bent out of the way or removed. (there's a how-to on here some where)
the hoses are simplier than you're making them out to be... if it connects and you can clamp it down without ripping the hose, it's good.

I don't agree with this statement. You need coolant to spend some time absorbing heat away from the block, which is why you shouldn't run without a thermostat or one which is stuck open.
