Default b-series header fitment

I just got off the phone with my buddy who I sold a dc 4-1 header to that i had on my b16. hes got a b18a in a 92 teg, but claims it doesn't fit. i mean its no big deal, but don't all b-series headers bolt up the same? sucks. thanks.

yeah ive searched up and down and they all say they'll bolt right up, cept the flanges may need to be modded. i dont see how it wont fit if everything bolts up fine and it clears the oil pan.

well the flanges are the same. but the clearance between the oil pan and the header might be tight. I have to cut off the bracket on the downpipe for my DC B16 4-1 to clear on my B18C1 CRX

the length of the bottom to the B-pipe is different in most header/exhaust/car combos

Yeah that I know, its a given with a B-series swap into an EF. I was just trying to answer if it'll even bolt on.

b16 is only 1595 a b18 is 1795 the b18 block is longer and the header wont clear the oil pan on the other hand a b18 header will fit on a b16

well thats wrong. displacement has nothing to do with it. its about deck height. and the b16 header does fit on a b18 motor
