So my shitbox ej2 civic has a b18c1 swap with 10.5:1 cr and forged internals and it only has about 6-7k miles on it but she’s roasting oil, i replaced all my valve train seals and head gasket and my compression is phenomenal with 236 being the highest in cylinder 4 and 221 being the lowest in cylinder 3. It burns about a half quart ish a week on daily driving and damn near a whole quart when i take it to the canyons for three hours. I have no clue wtf could be causing this much oil to burn but any time i do a WOT pull from a dig, all through first and sometimes second there’s just a cloud of burnt oil vapor behind me. I’ve never owned a b series before this and i bought the motor built so i’m not sure how much oil they burn normally cause i know this is a common issue with the b series motors. If anyone has any ideas as to where i’m burning this oil from i’d really appreciate it.

I replaced valve guide seals, cam seals, head gasket, and valve cover gasket last week, intake ports were very slightly dirty but almost no sign of blow-by as i have a catch can, intake valves have been upgraded to flat valves, wiseco pistons, bored to 82.5 mm (yes i know that’s a weird *** increment idk the reasoning), mostly stock heads, css racing block, and a bunch else but it doesn’t play a big role in the problem. also, hondata s300 ecu. if there are any other questions i’d be more than happy to answer them

 

Probably the valve guides. Not the seals, the guides pressed into the head. I bet they are hot dog down a hallway loose.
