Default B nd D series clutch differences...

This will sound like a newb question to most of you. This question just came to me.
What are the differences between B and D series clutches? I understand that the input shafts are different, but besides this is it only a difference in diameter?
Appreciate it...

The overall diameters to vary too... For SOHC motors the range goes from 200-212mm's... For all 94+ B series you are looking at 220mm's... As you probably know cable flywheels have different set pin layouts which stops you from using a hydro PP on a cable motor (that is if you don't swap flywheels)... Just little differences like that... Hope this helped... Peace

Thanks for the quick reply...
Now hos this for wasting time...
Is it possible to bolt a B-series flywheel to a D-series crank? A D fly to a B crank?

hahaha, it's all good but sorry, NO!! Besides the difference in diameter B series motors uses a 8 pin bolt pattern where as D series uses a 6 pin.. Here's a little bullshit math but really would this ever work if the bolt pattern diameter the same... (DOHC) (360 degrees)/(8 holes) = 45 degrees... So you have one bolt every 45 degrees.. (SOHC) (360 degrees)/(6 holes) = 60 degrees... Here you have on bolt every 60 degrees... If you line up the first whole lets see if anything else lines up... (DOHC,SOHC) 0,0 45,60 90,120 135,180 180,240 225,300.... ohhh NO, SOHC is done for... haha but the B series still continues at 270 and 315... Wow was that fun or what.. I guess you could bolt it on by one bolt... I guess I would just advise you to get a D series clutch and flywheel... Peace
