my halfshaft has been like this for a while, it looks like it is not popped in all the way, and its leaking fluid, it loioks like it still needs to go in about 1/8 of an inch, am i missing something here or what, i though it might be the axle seal but i just replaced it and it didnt help

Hey Layzie Bone LOL, I had replaced axle shafts in my accord and there just stubborn to go in all the way. Try wiggling it while you push it in the tranny it should go in. Also make sure the seal in in place on the trans(Black rubber ring) and the c-clip or ring is in the groove of the axle shaft(spline). And Bone Thugs-n-Harmony is some bomb A$$ hip-hop.

What he said. If that fails, put a piece of wood on the end of the axle, get a big hammer, and bash it.

Ok, now check to see if the splines on the axle are totally eaten up. You may have crossed them up and tried to hammer them in place. Either that or the hole is messed up.
