Default Axle Problem

Hey all,
I just finished swapping in a new axle on my 90 Civic w/ b16 swap. Anyways, the axle swapped is the drivers side. I took the car out on a drive and when I step on the gas a little the car violently turns left. First thing I thought was that I didn't get the axle in properly and only the passenger side axle was putting the power down. Jacked up the car, tried to push the axle in more, drove it and same thing. When I turn the intermediate shaft, the axle turns. When I turn the tire on the oppossed side and it's in gear, the axle turns. Someone give me some feedback on what you think. Anybody happen to have a pic of the axle pressed up agaisn't the intermidiate shaft, to see if mine installed right?? Lastly, I went up from a 13" rim to a 14". Could that have made a difference? TIA
