I used a 3/4" breaker bar and it came off w/ ease (400ft-lbs impact wrench loosened it up, but did not take it off)
flat head screwdriver
ball joint separator
BFH
rubber mallet
1 leave car on ground or have someone step on the brake while you take off the axle nut...remember, you have to unstake it w/ a flat head screwdriver
2 remove transmission fluid and strut forks.
3 remove the cotter pin in the castle nut and remove the 17mm castle nut
4 separate the ball joint w/ a separator and a BFH (try not to rip the boot, be very careful)
5 hammer the axle out of the hub w/ a rubber hammer
6 swing the brake assembly out of the way
7 pry the axle out w/ a flathead screwdriver (don't pull the axle, pry it)...try not the damage the seals
8 clean the new axle inputs w/ carb cleaner or solvent and dry w/ compressed air
9 put the new axles in and reassemble everything in the reverse order
tips: replace the lock ring on the axles and the cotter pins (optional but suggested), stake the axle nut once you put it back on, buy 2 quarts of Honda MTF.
I think that covers it...it's a pretty basic job.

u dont really need a balljoit separator.someone on the board explained to me a great way on how to do it.
jack up the rotor and put a crow bar or the handle end of a ratchet in between the LCA and where it connects to the rotor. lower jack and itll pop right off.
doesnt dmg rubber boot either!!

Big ******* Hammer, where have you been?
Seriously, what you will need to do is remove the bolt that hold the LCA to the body. Then turn the wheel, and pull the axle out of the hub. If its rusted it it may need some encouragement. No ball joints, no muscle, no brainer. It take less than 10 mins to remove one.
Also, repacking the joint on a stock axle is what I would do rather than getting a POS rebuild. Helped my friend with about 6 axles on the same car. They all suck. Reuse the factory parts if possible.
