Default awd dsm question

i kno this is probably the wrong place to ask but what is the power distribution between the axles on awd dsm's. the 2g eclipse gsx mostly. i have heard things like 60 front 40 rear and 50/50 splits but what is it really?

most of the power goes to the front wheels, and when they start to slip, the rear wheels catch traction

Technically its is 60/40 f/r . you CAN make it 50 50 with welded center diff or get a nice cutsom made center spool which replaces the center diff. Or you can get an LSD for the rear(if not already equipped) and one for the center and have pretty much the best of everything. Solid center diffs suck **** on 3 bolt rear ends because it puts a HUGE amount of stress on the already brittle 3 bolt rear end(90-92)
