AWD Del Sol?????
i herd of it a couple times and now that i have my 93 sol i would like to know if AWD is a dream .. a nice boost .. or just way to much money for the improvment?? Any one know about this being done or know anything about how much it would cost??? Info on subject will be appreciated!!
I've thought about converting my 92 civic into an all wheel drive car. I was looking under the honda CRV's and trying to figure out how high my car would sit off the ground if I was going to attach all that extra stuff on there. I'm not sure how much a CRV drive train costs, but I am sure it can be done.
Someone posted awhile ago in the Civic/CRX forum an AWD CRX and had pics of it it wasnt anyones on here but just a write up on it. I will see if I can find it...

The only good AWD you'll get out of your Sol is if you mount a second, synchronized engine in the rear. Honda "AWD" is a joke. We're talking 90/10 split, front-bias. It's not made to handle power at high RPMs nor is it made to stand up to clutch-dumping launches.
If you want AWD, buy something else. Now if you want RWD, here's a website that sells bolt-on RWD Honda Transmissions:
