Default AWD crx...

i have a b16a in my crx. all b-series trannies should match up correct? well the b20 to the crv, has the option for AWD. if i bolt that up to my b16, with a lot of work, is there any reason why it wouldnt work? what all would i have to do? thanx...

If you are trying to make your crx all wheel drive then look forward to a bunch of cutting, welding and fabricating. If you don't know whats involved in doing a project like this I suggest you pay someone to do it for you. This is no easy task.

The awd crv b20 tranny will bolt up to any other B series engine. You will need nearly all supsension components from the rear of the crv though....differential,spindles,hubs,axles,drivesh aft etc....too much work...just buy an awd car.The b16 most likely wont even have enough torque to take advantage of the awd though.I thought about doing this in 2000,which is why I know most of what you need.It will work though with enough time and money.

Its been done before. There is a page with a bunch of pictures of the car. It was done by some french guys. It had a gsr turbo with b20 awd transmission. Pulled 1.7 60ft on street tires. I have a cool video of it drifting in the snow too :D

i have a b18c5 on the way in about a month, that mixed with a turbo should deffinately have enough torque to pull this off. i bunch of the people that i work with know how to weld really well. i normally would just get an AWD car, but my dream in life is to have an AWD crx! as hard as it may be, im not one to argue with a dream, ya know? thanx for the info on what i need, i'd probably have to cut the rear axle of the crv to make it fit too right? any info on how to make a crx AWD is appreciated......
