Yeah i am quite sure there is a difference. When i ordered my first b16 changeover from hmo it pulled great for a b16. Unfortunately i dropped a valve and screwed up the motor. A month later i ordered a b16, just the longblock. When i got the motor it had auto trans written on the valve cover. I figured when i ordered just a motor i would get stuck with an automatic motor with the auto cams, which i did. I swear this motor makes no power at all in vtec. You can hear vtec engage but that is about it. I am eventually gonna order some crower stage 2's, but for now i am putting in my old manual cams.

noyan says there is no difference, but then again they are just trying to sell you a motor. japanstarmotor will tell you there is no difference also. There is a diff. and it does matter! If you buy a motor put it on a credit card!!!! That way you are protected from not getting what you ordered and you do have recourse.
