Default Auto transmission problems

I have 2003 Accord EX Coupe 4 cylinder with automatic transmission and I cannot get the transmission out of reverse. I have no idea what the problem would be and tried using the search and could not find what I was looking for. Can anyone help?

Hmmm that is odd. Can you go in detail more of how this happened? When did it happen? How was it before it happened? Did you get a trans job done? Also, explain the problem more in detail. So you start the car up in Park, shift to reverse... and thats it? It gets stuck? Can you start the car in neutral and go into drive? Can you start it in Neutral and go to Reverse... and not get into park?

Had problem shifting from Park to drive on the way home, but never a problem before that. I stopped by home for a minute and when I started my car back up I could not get it out of park. When I press the button on the shifter there is a click in the steering wheel and I cannot shift the gear at all.

hmmmm that is odd. Even with the button huh? 2003 accord (sorry not so familiar), the shifter is on the steering column? or in the center console? if its in the center console, shouldn't that "emergency shift" button be in that area? hmmm cause if it is on the steering column.. I'm not familiar with that, but if it is in the center console, I think something happened with the shifter cable underneath your car. Maybe on your way home you drove over something that is now stuck and preventing you from shifting gears somehow. If its not that... its something internally then

hmmm i'd second guess that though... there is a cover that protects that cable on the transmission. Well... before I get ahead of myself... is ur accord a v6 (do they even come in 4 cyl. still?)?

But if anything.. do a quick check underneath.
