Hello guys, im brand new here this is my first post. I recently lost my b13 sentra se-r to a irresponsible driver. I have found out searching in the midwest for one of these has been tough. My other love is honda hatches of all years. Im looking at a ef and a eg chasis. My main question im buying my wife a car as well this week. We dont want the exspense of buying new, so i went and looked at a 95 civ lx for her today. It has 175k on it and its a auto trans. The car seems to be in good mechanical shape. The trans has me worried it shifts fine for upshifts but downshifting into first is kind of rough. Should i stray away from this car? Thanks in advance and i hope to become a well known member just like i am on sr20forum.

the governer valve could be bad and its downshifting early, but it seams odd that it only does it when downshifting into first try putting it in 2 low and getting it up into second then slow down to a stop to see if it does it again.
