Default ARP Main studs warp the mains?

I just got my engine back from the machine shop and they micced the mains and said they were perfect, but they micced them with the stock main bolts. I have ARP main studs here, I'm just wondering if its possible that the studs will warp the mains at all. I heard that they may (from the machine shop), they told me they couldn't do anything about it though because they can't align hone my block for some reason (I think they're lacking a tool).

Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it. I think it's one of those precautions that nobody takes. Like when I replaced the bolts on my Crower rods - everyone said to re-hone the bores because the new bolts would distort the rod bores.

Of course I didn't bother doing that, and I go 8,500 RPMs every day now with no probs.

when putting main studs in a engine you can throw off your clearances so you need to be careful and check all the clearances and if they check out you will be fine
