So i was wondering wich head studs to use for an ls vtec conversion with a b16 head b18 block? I ordered the b16 head studs but now i read on here that they are the wrong ones that i should use gsr or itr. Can some one clear this up????

 

you Buy according to the head you use. So in your case youll need B16a Studs 99% Sure

 

the deck height on a b16 block is shorter,you dont want them. itr/gsr is what you want

 

gsr head studs. b16 studs are shorter because of the deck height of the block.
