Default ARP head stud question

I am interested in buying an older set of arp head studs. They are for sale b/c he found out that they wont fit his d16y8. Will they fit a d16z6?

I've got some ARP head studs that were too long for my d16y8 (unless I wanted to use 5-6 washers per stud...), i was told that the newer version of the ARP studs are shorter, can anyone verify this? Mine has the same part number as the newer studs too. What motors will the older, longer version of the studs work on?

I bought a new set of studs for my B18C1 and when the head was in place, they stuck about an inch out. When torqued, there was about 1/4" above the nut.

HTH,

ARP #208-4301 are the studs labeled for D16.

Apparently the are too long for the Y8 engine.
