Default Apexi N1 Damper

For the people who have them, how many ways is your adjustable? i was adjusting mine tonite (damper) for the first time and where you stick the long allen key on top of the strut and mine clicked around 41 times. is this normal? i kept going up and down and it clicked 45 on the passenger side and i believe 41 on the driver. its not blown or anything, rides good as hell, i just wanted to confirm this with other people. any feed backs would help, thanx.

its been a while since ive adjusted them, but i think you can hear a slight difference in clicking between when it really is adjusting, and just freewheeling.

or, if you click it all the way stiff or soft, then you can back off. example:

if you dont know where it is set, click all the way stiff, like 50 turns. Then, if it is a 13 way shock, and you want to set it around halfway, go 6 or 7 clicks backwards.

I have the HKS hiper max dampers but they work the same. Turn clock wise all the way to get full hard. Back off only as far as the damper are adjustable for. I had tein on my last car and was told that softening more than what they are adjustable for can damage the damper. I think the n-1's are 16 way do don't go past 16 counter clockwise.

I talked to Apexi today and here is what they told me..

The new model N1's are 13 way adjustable.. currently in the market.

The old ones, which is the one i have is 25 way adjustable. the way to set it is you turn it all the way down (hardest) and start softening from there. 25 clicks from the hardest is full soft and anymore clicks after that is useless, so there's no point of clicking it after 25. so there ya go, hope this helps some of you.
