APC vs the good stuff
i saw a set OF APC coil over for a good price.. i was thinking was the "BIG" between apc coil overs and skunk2 coil overs.. i was talkin to my dad about it and he said it might be nothing like, store brand aspin and advil or like store brand fruit punch and Hi-C . i wanted your thoughts thanxs!
not to knock apc, but i havnt seen a good product from them. You also get what you paid for. The difference between apc and the other brands is quality. Things to worry about when buying cheap springs/ coilovers is the springs rates. Companies like apc i dont think do much testing on springs they throw any spring into a box and call it a day. While on the other hand companies like eibach or other name brand companies put alittle effort in designing there product.
i hate apc for many reasons, first, they do not make quality products. i'v seen broken shortshifters, springs, lights everything. second, where i come from the import community gets made fun of bc there are alot of people out here who go to pepboys spend 50$$$, and allof a sudden, some wiper lights and a few apc stickers later they are big time racers. so you can see my hatred of apc. so i say you shell out the cash and buy a quality product, that wont leave you on the side of the road.
I was having a hard time paying $300 for groundcontrols or skunk2 and after some research I found that dropzone coilovers have a lifetime warranty and are TUV and ISO 9001 certified. They can be had for $110, shipped from Urbanimport.com. The spring rates are 450 lb./in. front and 350 lb./in. rear, but both are the same height and can be swapped. I haven't had them on for too long, but am very satisfied with them.
I realize they seem ghetto and alot of people may think they are ****, but they seem decent.

details on groundcontrol!! GC's are 110...good price!
APC blows. Every thing has no performance value and they cant even keep there "cool" looking stuff on the better side of production. I bought a set of honda emblems because the old ones that the past owner put on turned pink due to the sun. I ended up buying these one emblems that were red with a black carbon fiber H. First car was, both front and back emblem leaked water to the point it filled the entire H up. Then when it "dry's" water still remains inside and just fogs up on the H part. APC
a guy brout some into the shop and wanted them installed so we installed them. he likes they they are the ones with two different springs but there is a girl that has some and they are not even we looked at them to see if they where installed wronge and they werent so I wouldn't get them
"u get wat u pay for" is a great rule to go by when modding ur car i think. I haven't had any experience with apc so i can't vouch for or knock their products, but i kno that my homeboy straight up snapped his sprint springs on his camry.
Plus i hear it takes hella expensive machinery to make good quality springs... so i dunno that apc has invested that much money into their suspension line yet. SOmehting u may want to consider.

I dont have an account on honda-tech but i want to make sure that you dont make a mistake and get apc's. I bought apc coilovers before and put them on my car and it was absolute crap. I thought it was my shocks that were bad so i replaced them with koni yellows. Which are the best shocks in the world for integra's and civics right now. The apc spring rate is way too low bounces like hell and so it bottomed out the shock so much that it damaged the shock. I paid 600 bucks just for the koni yellows and they got messed up. Yo and if you want comfort and coilover ground control and skunk2 isn't going to be that great. ground control will feel better then skunk 2 but all sleeve coilovers won't feel good. if i were u get some spring but its up to u. if you really want adjustability get real coilovers but up to u. good luck

good info and get an acount set up.
Good info on the DropZones.
I was shopping for a set of coilovers for my girlfriend's Corolla. GC's would seem to be too much for her applications (she wants the drop and some improved handling). She won't pay $300 either...so dropzones are just within her price range.
How's the ride? Im more concerned about the ride...my gf might kill me if she starts bouncing around...LOL!
