Default Anyone using a JVT Radiator??

I'm looking into buying a new radiator for my car and my plan was to get a mishimoto full sized or half size eg/ek rad for the price and value, but, I'm running a k20a2 motor in my car, and my stock half-sized rad doesn't seem to do the job. I need the motor to run, much more cooler.

Is anyone using these new JVT Racing radiators on their cars? How are they, how well do they cool, and what is the thickness of the radiator?

Here's the link to the company. Many H-T vendors are selling them now.

Here's the link:

Okay well, I took the plunge and bought the JVT radiator. Like I said before I'm running a k-swap and decided that the motor needed a little more cooling than the stock radiator could provide. So here it is. Its a 3 row, 2.5 inches thick rad. I'm running a mishimoto 12" electric slim fan which has a cfm rating of 1300 cfm, and moves an adequate amount of air. I opted not to rest the whole electric fan on the radiator itself, but instead put the provided spring spacers on the fan housing.

I haven't been able to field test the radiator yet, because I only bought one bottle of coolant and it turns out that since this rad is waay bigger than my OE rad, I ran out of coolant. So tomorrow I'm going to top up the coolant and bleed my radiator out completely with the front end jacked up slightly.

Anyways, here are some pics. The fitment and build of the rad is absolutely amazing. It looks good, but as for the performance, I'll let you guys know if its worth it.

Here are some pics of how it looks. I wasn't able to take detailed pics of the rad before the install.

Listen to the man. You can go on ebay and spend $140-160 for a mishimoto/godspeed/ jvt rad, or you can spend alot less with Rob, and know that you'll be getting what you wanted, and from a H-T sponsor no less.

Yeah buddy, its nice that your frontin' another man's sale thread, but don't do it on my thread. And in case if missed the big pretty pictures above, I already bought the radiator and INSTALLED IT!

Its really good quality and works alright. One thing I would advise people to do before is to run water or a shot of compressed air thought the radiator since it might have metal shavings or debris left over from its construction. I forgot to run water through mine before the install and saw small metal debris floating through. I also, noticed that my coolant became a little darker after as well.

Should my temperature needle go lower after installing a thicker half rad? Has anyone experienced a noticeable decrease in cruising temperature after installing an aftermarket rad?
