Around 4000rpm or so sometimes more or less, my tach will just go stupid. It will like jump around in its quest to catch up with reality. I had this problem before and it was supposedly the wires leading to my external coil. Now the car will sometimes die out with no hints or clues thats its coming. I will step on the gas and notice that its not running cuz the tach won't go any higher and if i do keep giving it gas it will backfire.....(Very loudly) It then won't start up for a while sometimes. I checked the wires leading to the coil and theres no signal so obviously it's these wires leading out. OR could it be the gray box that they come from inside the dizzy that has the flag terminals on it?? IGNITER?? Im not sure what that box/module is !? anyone had to replace any guts inside there dizzys'??? sound like a familiar problem anyone??? (This is a 95 Civic hatch with (obd 2 Gs-R/obd 1 ECU) i think it migt be where the wires are soldered together because if it were an internal part would't it happen more often?? Search was very helpful but nothing direct
