Default Anyone have a link to...

I'm installing a new valvetrain and cams into my B16 and wondered if anyone had a link that shows this installation? ( Besides C-SPEEDRACING.com ) I'm especially looking for a valve spring swapping/installation guide. If anybody can help me, I know it's you guys!
-Thanks

Do I have to worry about the valve falling into the cylinder when I remove the retainer or spring? How does the retainer come off once the spring is compressed?

head is still on motor...ok...u have to put an air hose into where the spark plug goes when ur working on that cylnder to have pressure against the valves...then when u compress u lit out the little keepers, 2 halves per retainer..and it comes off, then to reassemble, compress sring with retainer on top, and put the keepers in, when u release SLOWLY, the keepers should go back inplace..MAGIC...

How many pounds of pressure should I be using? Is there a special type of fitting used to do this to each spark plug hole? What is the BEST type of spring compressor to use for ding this? The "bolted bar" type or the single "twist top" compressor?

use the end hose and fitting from a compression test kit that u can get at a local auto parts store for like 25$. ull also have that tool. and just use like howevermuch pressure you want...ur motor should be at like 180 but i wouldnt go above 130-140 for an extended period...

Which spring compressor is BEST? The "bolted bar" type, or the "single twist-top" one?

Is this the one that uses the bar or the one with the screw down top?

http://www.sears.com/sr/product/deta...o=YES&bidsite= what would you call this valve spring compressor? its the type where you have to take of the head. You cant buy this and a new honda head gasket and that will probably run you less than the snapon tool that removes valves with out taking off the head. However you will need to do a trick with the Craftsman compressor and a peace of pipe to reach down into the head to the retainers. And dont think Autozone will rent you one i tried that they have something that looks more like a farming tool and is offcorese only for v8 engines.

I was told that the one with the screw down head and 2 puller arms would work. I don't want to remove the head. Thanks, but no I am not looking for the "c-clamp" application. This requires removing the head. Thanks anyways though. Any one else done a valve spring swap before? Any hinters?
