Default Anyone else frying dizzy rotors with MSD?

I am going through distributor rotors like there is no tomorrow. About every 1k- 1.5k i start to feel the car hesitate. My rotors just keep getting fried and the plastic around the blade starts to pull away. Im using an MSD coil as well, is this coil maybe too strong ?? is there an aftermarket rotor available? thanx........

I never fried my distributor rotor before but I did fried the distributor ONCE when I wired up my MSD ignition wrong without the manual. recheck your wires and make sure everything is wired to the right wires.

it definitely is wired correctly, but its just weird........ i took a bit of sand paper to the rotor to clean off the burnt soot or whatever is on it and it runs sooo much better. i will see how long thats lasts. Weird thing is, there is marks on the inside of the distributor cap, almost like something is being flung around inside of it but there is no loose matierial inside at all........ i cleaned it multiple times.

im running the msd cap and blaster SS coil, i wonder if the blaster SS is too strong?

you sholdn't be running the ss coil unless you have gobs of fuel to be ignited
the most you would need is blaster 2
if you think about it the fastest all motor car doesn't run an external ignition
it just uses an upgraded oem style coil that goes inside the dizzy
honda and external ignitions are pretty much useless unless you are using NAWWZ or some type of forced induction which still isnt really necessary

no management....... just an FPR with a chipped pm6 with more agressive NA maps for my ZC. Much different from the ZC ecu it came with. I just put in a universal 12volt external coil for now...... i will see how that works out. anymore input would be awesome..........

i think i may be selling the blaster SS coil if anyone wants it.......
