Default any science to roll bars?

Ive been wanting to put a rollbar into my crx for some time now. i want one to me custom made and i dont want a autopower. so my question is, do you actually have to be a skilled rollbar fitter/maker or can a normal but good steel fabricatingcompany make one. of course it will require the use of a mandrel bender and a specific type of steel which i dont remember the name of off hand. is there any specific science in the design of the bar?
any info is appreciated.

Yes there is a science to it. If your gonna have one custom made, go to a reputable race shop and have them construct it for you. If you're planning on running the car in sanctioned races have the sanctioning bodies rule book with you when you go to the shop. It won't be cheap, I've heard of labor rates of up to $60 an hour.
