Default any hope for the d16y7?

i have a 97 civic dx, and i wanna stay with my d series motor... the problem is that not too many people make parts for the y7, mostly for the a6 and z6.. i want to try out a carb setup.. anyone out there that could help?

get a Y8 head + ecu for starters....then shorter geared y8 tranny

ive been thinkin about that but im trying to stick with the y7 head, may not be the best idea, but trying to do something different, doesnt seem to be working to well.. hahaha.. thanks for the advice though

I'm not sure on this, but I would sheck into if an aftermarket A6 cam would fit into the Y7.

not worth building up. just do the motor swap, keep the D16Y7 in case of smog problems with the swap. put the D16 back in the car when you go to do a smog test...that's what i'm gonna be doing with my motor...
