i plan on getting a 2.0l header for right now so when i do plan on boring out my gsr block i wouldn't need to worry about another header. are there any cons to this?

w/o knowing the size of the tubes it's hard to say,but if the tubes are to big for your application then it will hurt bottom end due to loss of velocity and scavenging effect of the exh.

It depends, contact SMSP about this, there has been a lot of success when using their 2 liter headers on 1.8's, also he can probably help you better than anyone on the tech board when it comes to header sizing, lengths, etc.
