Can any one explain how the TPS(ThrottlePositionSensor)works, what it does,
how does it affect the ecu.I would like to know any and all info about the tps.
Also could anyonegive any advice about the map(ManifoldAbsolutePressure) sensorhow it works electronicly and how it changes how the engine runs. THANKYOU any info will be helpful.

Both TPS and MAP sensor produce a voltage between 0 to 5 volts. The way how Honda setup its ECU is by using MAP sensor as load sensing. A faulty MAP sensor can change completely how the the car run since the base fuel and ignition map is getting the info from the map sensor to tell what's the load versus the rpm is at. TPS sensor is typically use for acceleration enrichment, and it also provides the position of the throttle angle to the ECU. During sensor checkup before the engine start position, The MAP sensor will give you a reading of the atmospheric pressure, and as the engine starts up the MAP sensor will read the air density of the Intake manifold. As for the TPS sensor with the throttle plate close, it will give you a reading of like 0.3 to 0.5 volts, and with the throttle plate fully open it will give you a reading of like 4.5 to 5 volts.
Hope this give you a idea of how both the TPS and MAP sensor works!
