another total seal piston ring question...
alright...i've done a search and everyone says that total seal rings are bad...alot of them say that there's so much blow by that oil shoots out the exhaust...now my question is, are these just the regular total seal rings or the gapless ones? i dont know if everyone is talking about the regular ones, or the gapless...or are they the same? let me know, because i'm about to pull my motor out this week and rebuild it...thanks.
i think total seal has some new extreme rings...i havnt used them but if you get the right size and install them correctly then you should be good to go..
I tried the gapless total seal rings in a Toyota 4AG 20 valve, which we rally raced. The rigns work very good, allowed us to go longer between ring changes. "Normal" rings we would change every two races, with these rings we changed after 6 races. Also, they provided a slight increase in power. In my experience they were worth the money.
I like them
worked great expect that I messed up by not setting the air fuel mixture and washed out the cyclinders
time to buy another set maybe will try those extreme rings>>>?
